Crystal Light Mocktails
I was scanning the tea aisle during a quick trip to Publix and did a double take when I caught the bright packaging for these relatively new Crystal Light mocktail flavors. At first, I was skeptical and thought “that probably tastes like a super sweet syrup.” Then I said “eh, why not.” I threw the sample pack in the cart and hoped for the best!
The biggest pro for these little packets is the fact that each contains 5 itty bitty calories. So if you’re watching your weight and still want some alcohol-ish flavor during happy hour, stash one in your clutch and off you go! Keep in mind these are pitcher packs so a little bit goes a long way for self-made single servings. These are also great for mommy’s-to-be that sometimes miss their favorite cocktail. Mommyandbaby friendly. Double bonus!
While there are some great tasting mixers out there, these Crystal Light packs provide a very low cal alternative for those that like the flavor of certain cocktails but either hate that morning after feeling they can cause, are simply watching their weight, or for one reason or another can’t drink alcohol. My suggestions for those that simply want a low-cal alternative to cocktail classics – add some Patron Silver to the margarita, Barcardi Superior to the mojito, GreyGoose to the appletini and pomtini or some Cava to the peach bellini and voilà! Guilt free, great tasting drinks. For more Crystal Light drink recipes check out Bar None Drinks.
