Food & Garden Festival Is in Full Bloom at Fairchild

 

We’ve been to Fairchild a few times here and there and officially fell in love with their annual Chocolate Festival. Recently, we have really grown to appreciate this amazing 84 acre property and all the great events it hosts for the community. Did you know they have weekly events? They have cooking classes, photography lessons, afternoon tea.. I mean it’s really incredible! This Saturday and Sunday Fairchild is having yet another amazing festival. It is the 33rd Annual Food and Garden Festival and the festival runs from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. With the amazing weather forecast it’s an amazing opportunity to get out and enjoy some locally grown foods and marinate yourselves in the beautiful gardens they grow in.

Every Fairchild festival showcases the crème de la crème of that festival’s given theme. This weekend not only will you be able to see lovely flowers and plants for purchase but taste home-made jams, sweet honeys, and tantalizing spices. The entire event is jammed packed with cooking demonstrations, lectures, sales, and art exhibits. They even have a beer garden! You know in case you get thirsty tasting all those edible flowers! Admission: Free for Fairchild Members and children 5 and under.

Non-members: $25 for adults, $18 for seniors 65 and up and $12 for children 6-17.

Eco-discount: If you walk, ride your bike or take public transportation to Fairchild, receive $5 off admission for adults and $2 off admission for children. Members, remember to bring your Rewards Card to earn your gift passes!

Military Discount: We are pleased to offer active military personnel free admission. In addition, admission for spouses is $20 and children $10. Please present Military IDs.
